The Science of Freeze Drying

Freeze drying also called lyophilization is a sophisticated process that removes water from a product without ever letting it pass through a liquid phase.
First, the product is frozen; then under vacuum, the ice sublimates—turning directly into vapor. Because the water is removed gently, food or botanicals retain much of their original texture, flavor, and nutritional value – even after rehydration.

3. What warranty do EXEAT machines include?

All EXEAT machines include a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty covering key components. The warranty can be extended for an additional year after the first year, provided the machine undergoes a scheduled service check.

4. What maintenance is required?

Maintenance depends on the system but typically includes regular cleaning, inspection, and basic servicing (e.g., vacuum pump oil changes). All procedures are clearly outlined in the user manual.
